This is possible because the c’t editors Benjamin Kraft and Carsten Spille selected components with the best price-performance ratio and tested them extensively with each other. The construction proposal is cheaper than off-the-shelf gaming PCs and remains quiet and economical. The 2023 model contains an AMD Ryzen 5 5500 with six Zen 3 cores, a Gigabyte A520M-DS3H as the mainboard and a Radeon RX 6600 for the graphics. It also offers a gimmick that is unusual for c’t construction proposals: fans with RGB -Lighting. Thanks to a housing with a window on the side, the light show can even be seen under the desk.
