Briton Beth Potter wins the Triathlon test event, which was able to take place in the Seine

British triathlete Beth Potter won the 2024 Olympics test event in Paris on Thursday, less than a year before the Olympic deadline in the capital, on an identical course offering two swimming loops in the Seine. The athletes were able to dive into the Seine, two weeks after open water swimming was canceled due to poor water quality.

Leader in the race for the World Championship, Potter beat the Frenchwoman Cassandre Beaugrand, her runner-up, in this repeat of the Games. A general both for the triathletes and the organization, less than two weeks after the failure of swimming in open water.

This race in Olympic format, namely 1,500 m swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km on foot, smiled on Potter, dominated this year by Beaugrand in the sprint format, reduced by half.
