Botany in Moosach: environmental association LBV is suing the city of Munich – Munich

According to its own statements, the State Association for Bird and Nature Conservation (LBV) has sued the city of Munich in order to obtain environmental information. It’s about the site of the botany in Moosach, which the city wants to build on. As an environmental association, the LBV must be consulted by the city, since “considerable environmental impacts are to be expected”.

According to the LBV, the planning department has so far refused to publish environmental information: such as the tree inventory plan, surveys of the occurrence of protected animal and plant species and studies of the urban climate. When asked by SZ, the department confirmed that it “generally does not publish preliminary interim results”.

According to its own statements, the LBV is suing on the basis of the Environmental Information Act. Without the desired information, proposals for the conservation of endangered species cannot be developed in good time. There are at least two protected animals in the botanical area, the sand lizard and the green toad.
