A Franconian politician who defends the right to roast pork for German daycare children is, of course, a grateful feast for a satirist – especially a North German one. And so it has a corresponding, six and a half year old statement by the then Federal Minister of Agriculture Christian Schmidt (CSU) again in the public Friday evening program done. Jan Böhmermann, who presents himself not only as a satirist but also as an investigative journalist in his “ZDF Magazin Royale”, has tailored an issue of the program to the body of the now 65-year-old Schmidt.
