Climate activists once again daubed the Brandenburg Gate with orange paint on Thursday. As the group “Last Generation” announced, members colored the west side of the building with brushes.
The Berlin police reported on platform that two climate activists were arrested.
The Brandenburg Gate is currently being prepared for cleaning work on the east side following a previous paint attack by the group. Police arrested 14 climate activists in the first attack in mid-September. The work should cost at least 115,000 euros.
The current action caused less damage. As the Picture writes, one of the workers cleaning the east side of the structure responded quickly and removed the paint. That shows too one of the Berlin newspaper Video posted on X.
