Bed linen: how often it should be changed – mites, sweat & Co.

Watch the video: How often you should actually change your bed linen.

How often do you actually change your bed linen? Maybe you should do it more often than before. Because in addition to sweat and other bodily fluids, these fellows also accumulate in large numbers. An average of 10 million mites crawl in the mattress and covers. Pillowcases full of mites and their droppings: horror – not only for allergy sufferers. It is recommended to change sheets and the like every two weeks. Ideal: At 60° in the washing machine (from 58° the arachnids die off). People who tend to sweat should even change their sheets once a week. Pillows and duvets should also be washed at least twice a year (at 60°). If possible, vacuum and turn mattresses every few weeks. After 5-8 years, the standard mattress has had its day. Well then: A good night’s sleep in a freshly made bed!
