Bayern bundles data on a new platform – Bayern

According to the Digital Ministry, the public portal summarizes information from the state and authorities. So far, 700 data sets are available, and more are to follow gradually.

The Free State provides bundled public data on a new internet platform. The data should serve as a basis for new municipal services and innovative business models in the economy, as the State Ministry for Digital announced on Monday in Munich. The material is therefore freely available to citizens and companies.

The portal www.opendata.bayern bundles information from the state and authorities for the first time, which would otherwise be spread all over the network. According to the information, the platform, which has around 700 data sets to date, contains the locations of Bavarian brewery inns, e-charging stations in individual cities and high-resolution 3D models of Bavarian castles. More data will follow gradually.
