Bavaria: Funding for art projects in public space – Munich

The Professional Association of Visual Artists of Bavaria is awarding up to 15,000 euros in funding for art projects in public space for the coming year. But if you want to get to it, you have to hurry. Because the applications for financial support must be received by the BBK Landesverband Bayern by December 31st. The project funding program from the Bavarian State Ministry for Science and Art is entitled “Art for Us – Shaping Public Space” and is intended for projects that do not take place in typical exhibition rooms. Classic interim uses as well as temporary projects in companies, authorities, churches or in public urban space come into question. The prerequisite for funding is the free use of the space. The projects should be visible for a month and can be requested by individual artists as well as small groups. Applications can be submitted by email ([email protected]) to the BBK Bayern office. All information and links are available on the website www.bbk-bayern.de/#/foerderprogramme-2/. In addition, the BBK points out two other project funding: With “Neustart Kultur” the federal government has made available one billion euros for cultural infrastructure and project funding. Info under www.bbk-bundesverband.de/projekte/neustart-kultur. And the Free State of Bavaria is launching new funding programs, for example for exhibitions and symposia, which can be accessed via the link www.stmwk.bayern.de/kunst-und-kultur/foerderung/kuenstlerfoerderung.html can be requested.
