The matter is not over yet: After the scandal surrounding an alleged Nazi salute, the police searched the 34-year-old’s house on Thursday.

After the scandal surrounding a suspected Nazi salute by Ballermann singer Melanie Müller, the police searched the 34-year-old’s home on Thursday. A spokeswoman for the Leipzig public prosecutor said on request that it was about the investigation into the suspicion of using license plates of unconstitutional organizations.

Such characteristics can be flags, badges, pieces of uniform, slogans and forms of greeting. The “Bild” newspaper first reported on the search.

A video is said to show the singer raising her right arm a few times during a performance in Leipzig in mid-September. During the search, evidence is to be secured and then evaluated, the spokeswoman said. Müller had rejected the allegations and any proximity to “right-wing extremists or nationalist ideas”.
