Former tennis world number one Angelique Kerber is pregnant. The 34-year-old’s management confirmed a corresponding report by the “Bild” newspaper to the German Press Agency.

The three-time Grand Slam winner from Kiel is expecting her first child and will therefore not take part in the US Open in New York, which begins on August 29th. Kerber last played in the grass classic in Wimbledon. According to her management, the pregnancy should not mean the end of her career. First of all, it is a baby break.
