Munich: This is what happened at the Long Night of Music – Munich

400 concerts at 90 venues – and all between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m.: Thousands of visitors grooved, danced, sang and marveled at the Long Night of Music on Saturday. At the center of the action was the Gasteig HP8 with four stages and twelve bands of various styles, including Kapa Tultwhich was on the program in Hall E.

Not a peep could be heard from the music in the party zone on the neighboring square in front of the Cultural Power Plant. At the “Silent Disco” the revelers had headphones on.

However, it wasn’t completely noiseless there: of course the dancers could hardly resist roaring along to some of the refrains.

With a single ticket for 20 euros, fans could attend all events and use the buses on four dedicated shuttle lines every ten minutes.

Very practical, for example, to go on the archdiocese’s Vivaldi organ tour through eight churches: The eight organists played the “Four Seasons” and met for the joint final concert in the Church of St., which was beautifully illuminated inside and out by Michael Gene Aichner. Margaret in Sendling to perform Toccata and Fugue in D minor by Johann Sebastian Bach.
