Azerbaijan and Armenia: Is gas money from Europe fueling the conflict?

Azerbaijan has cut off the Nagorno-Karabakh region from the outside world for six months. There is also repeated shooting on the border with Armenia. The situation threatens to escalate further. Now the parties to the conflict are meeting for negotiations in the USA.

So now in Washington. After unsuccessful meetings in Brussels, Moscow and the Moldovan capital Chisinau, the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia meet again today to negotiate a peace. Despite increased international efforts, the decades-long conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, the Armenian exclave on Azerbaijani territory, could escalate at any time.
