Third division side Arminia Bielefeld threw Bundesliga side VfL Bochum 6-3 out of the DFB Cup on Saturday evening after penalties (2-1, 2-2, 2-2) in the first round. Nicklas Shipnoski (25th) and Merveille Biankadi (29th) scored for Arminen in the crowded and atmospheric Schüco Arena with 21,452 spectators. Takuma Asano and Simon Zoller scored the goals for Bochum – each in added time.
