Another person involved in the quadruple murder?

Will the Dany Leprince affair be relaunched? While the conclusions of the investigation carried out by the Central Office for the Repression of Violence against Persons at the request of the review court should be revealed before the end of December, The Parisian reports that another person, previously never implicated, could be involved in the quadruple murder of Thorigné-sur-Dué (Sarthe).

On September 4, 1994, Christian and Brigitte Leprince were stabbed to death in their home, along with two of their three daughters, aged 6 and 10. Quickly suspected, denounced by his own wife and his eldest daughter, Dany Leprince, brother of Christian Leprince and neighbor of the victims, confessed to the murder of his younger brother, before retracting and proclaiming his innocence. No fingerprints or genetic prints belonging to him were discovered at the crime scenes. A shoe print that did not match his size was also noted.

New investigations

Dany Leprince was nevertheless sentenced, in 1997, by the Sarthe Assize Court, to life imprisonment for the four murders. Released from prison in 2012, he continues to maintain that he is innocent and has even filed a request for review with a view to obtaining an acquittal.

It is in this context that new investigations were carried out last April at the crime scene, in Thorigné-sur-Dué. The return to the scene would have made it possible to demonstrate that the testimonies of Martine, ex-wife of Dany Leprince, and of her daughter Célia were inconsistent. The latter could have lied to hide her mother’s involvement, at least as a corpse receiver, reveals The Parisian.
