The Frankfurt Book Fair is extending the contract for the exhibition center in the Main metropolis. The mayor is also happy.

The Frankfurt Book Fair has extended its contract with Messe Frankfurt until 2028. The book fair has been held at this location since 1951. “Frankfurt is Germany’s most international city, and we are and will remain Frankfurt’s most international trade fair,” said book fair director Juergen Boos.

Frankfurt’s mayor Mike Josef (SPD) – who is also a member of the trade fair’s supervisory board – said that the book fair is of “invaluable value for Frankfurt, the cradle of democracy in Germany. I am particularly pleased against the background of this year’s 75th anniversary of the German constitution “I am pleased with the Frankfurt Book Fair’s decision to remain loyal to the location.”

The next Frankfurt Book Fair will take place from October 16th to 20th. Italy will be the guest of honor. At the previous edition in October 2023, around 215,000 visitors and more than 100,000 trade visitors were counted, and a total of around 4,000 exhibitors from 95 countries came. In addition to the Frankfurt Book Fair, there is also traditionally the Leipzig Book Fair in spring.
