The animal filmmaker was thrown out of the format because Andreas Kieling “crossed the line” with a candidate. Now Kieling is defending itself.

The announcement of the production behind the YouTube survival show 7 vs. Wild was vaguely worded. “Due to an incident between Ann-Kathrin Bendixen and Andreas Kieling During the preparatory phase in Canada, before the contestants were suspended, we decided not to let Andreas Kieling participate in Season 3 of ‘7 vs. Wild’. It’s a border crossing that we didn’t want to and couldn’t tolerate,” it said in a statement. Animal filmmaker Kieling is now fighting back.

“7 vs. Wild”: Andreas Kieling defends himself

“We reject the unfounded and vague allegations against my client,” his lawyer Dirk Giesen told the “Bild” newspaper. “At no time did my client cross borders or encroach on them. The vague allegations and insinuations, which give rise to a wide range of speculation, are inaccurate.”

Giesen also takes a position on the crew’s meeting, in which his client is said to have behaved incorrectly. “My client danced with Ann-Kathrin Bendixen during a bus stop on the way to filming in the gastro area of a gas station in the greater Vancouver area – as did several other dance couples. In anticipation of the production, the atmosphere was exuberant. What was happening on the dance floor was observed by about 10 people who were also part of the production,” he says.

Ann-Kathrin Bendixen is attacked

Not everyone sees it that way. Streamer Papaplatte, who also takes part in the format, sided with the production in a video. The fact that Ann-Kathrin Bendixen was attacked after Kieling was thrown out was “under all sow,” he says. “The thing that happened there was absolutely not fit. And if you knew what it is, you would also know that it is so,” he explains. Excluding Kieling was the best and only right decision.

Bendixen also commented on her Instagram profile about the hate messages she received after Kieling was kicked out. She’s sorry that the “7 vs. Wild” statement was so vague, she says. Kieling apologized, so the matter was settled for her.
