American Express: 100 euros credit on Emirates flights

Some credit card providers also offer their customers premium benefits in addition to standard services. American Express is currently offering a cashback promotion for Emirates flights. Is it worth it?

Anyone who regularly travels abroad for business or pleasure can hardly avoid a credit card – be it for booking hotels and rental cars, or to get money without having to exchange currencies. It is also helpful when booking flights. American Express is currently offering a cashback deal in collaboration with the airline Emirates.

100 euros cashback with American Express

Anyone who books flights worth at least 800 euros through Emirates will receive a credit of 100 euros if they are paid for with an Amex card. However, the offer is only valid until February 15th and is limited to the first 10,000 registrations. The minimum turnover of 800 euros for the credit does not have to be reached in one transaction, but the whole thing only applies to flights from Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Munich.

This is an interesting offer, especially for frequent flyers and American Express credit card holders. This means you can use the cashback on your next flight booking and save money straight away. But those interested shouldn’t wait too long, the deal is limited to the first 10,000 registrations.

Aside from the current cashback deal with Emirates, American Express credit cards also offer other advantages for globetrotters. Among other things, the Amex Platinum includes 200 euros in credit each year for SIXT ride and online travel credit as well as an extensive insurance package. Through the Membership Rewards bonus program, users can also collect points that can be converted into various vouchers and rewards – for example for hotel or flight bookings. The catch: The fees are quite steep at 60 euros per month.

Alternative: Eurowings Premium credit card

For anyone who doesn’t have American Express or isn’t planning a flight from one of the above-mentioned airports with Emirates in the near future, the Premium credit card from Eurowings might be an alternative. The services that are of interest to frequent flyers are not limited to an expiring offer, but are part of the card’s premium benefits.
