The start of the ski run on the legendary Streif in Kitzbühel has to be postponed. Due to light snowfall and poor visibility, the race originally scheduled for 11:30 a.m. was postponed by one hour to 12:30 p.m. (ARD and Eurosport), as the world association Fis announced.

The new start time was officially confirmed shortly after 11:30 a.m. It was also decided that the athletes would enter the slopes from the top and not from the reserve start.

The weekend in Kitzbühel is the highlight of the Alpine World Cup season. After the departure on Friday, there is another one on Saturday. Finally there will be a slalom on Sunday.
