No alcohol outside of bars and homes. The Var prefecture issued a decree on Friday to supplement the restrictive measures taken on July 22 aimed at combating the spread of Covid and the Delta variant.
From now on, the consumption of alcohol on the public highway is prohibited until August 16, specified the prefecture. The authorities consider “that the consumption of alcoholic beverages on the public highway leads to spontaneous regrouping of people who do not respect or with difficulty the measures of physical distancing and therefore favors the spread of the virus”.
