The aircraft manufacturer plans to deliver 600 machines. But Airbus is still a long way from achieving this target for the year. Will the final spurt come in December?

The aircraft manufacturer Airbus delivered even fewer commercial aircraft in October than in the two months before.

After 40 machines each in August and September, the number fell to 36, as the group recently promoted to the Dax announced. This is the lowest value since February. Meanwhile, Airbus took orders for 22 aircraft in October, but also had to accept 30 cancellations.

The decline in deliveries is a setback for the manufacturer on the way to its goal of handing over around 600 machines this year. After the first ten months, the number is 460. This means that Airbus will have to hand over 140 aircraft to its customers in November and December. Usually, the group takes a final spurt in December in order to achieve its annual target.
