After Jul’s unauthorized clip in Toul, the drivers sentenced for rodeo?

Racing cars “drifting” at high speed in the middle of a dense crowd… Some passages from Jul’s unauthorized clip in Toul, filmed last February, are still circulating on social networks. The Marseille rapper is of course also visible there, accompanied by his KVRA counterpart. It was the latter who then invited the famous artist to his neighborhood of Croix-de-Metz to put into images their featuring, “It’s not the town hall”.

The result was never officially released. The reason is simple: no prior authorization had been requested from the town hall of Meurthe-et-Moselle. KVRA and one of its friends were convicted last July for organizing this illegal event during which streets were also blocked. The rapper was sentenced to 140 hours of community service (TIG) and the second was fined 600 euros.

End of the story ? No because this matter will still be discussed this Friday morning in Nancy. The court must render its decision for three drivers who slalomed with their vehicle that day among the spectators. On October 27, the public prosecutor requested a three-month suspended prison sentence, the confiscation of vehicles and the suspension of driving licenses.

“They went to Toul with complete confidence”

“With my colleagues, we pleaded for acquittal,” indicates to 20 minutes Maître Gautier Abram, who represents one of the three defendants. The lawyer insists on the “non-intentionality” of his client and the others involved. “We showed the conversations during the hearing: they had been contacted by someone who presented himself as a manager and went to Toul with complete confidence. They are certainly not going there to do a rodeo but a filming! The proof is their names on their racing cars and they ate quietly at the neighboring Quick right after! This is definitely not an urban rodeo record. »

The council fears that an “example” will be made among the defendants, according to it “not the right culprits”. In court, the prosecutor spoke of a “scandal” according to The Republican East. “It makes young people want to do the same thing […] You do not appreciate the chance that there were no accidents otherwise you would have had it in the baba,” he added. In the aftermath of the events, the mayor of the city Alde Harmand also denounced an “endangerment of spectators”.

“Their vehicles have already been confiscated for more than six months, that’s enough. I repeat: my client and the other pilots thought everything was in order. If they are convicted, we will appeal,” concludes Master Gautier Abram. Answer this Friday morning.
