Absent for “personal reasons”, Achraf Hakimi confronted by the woman who accuses him of rape

This Friday, Achraf Hakimi did not participate in Paris Saint-Germain training. In a press release, the leader of Ligue 1 indicated that this absence was due to a “personal reason”. Luis Enrique, at a press conference, did not wish to say more, while affirming that his precious right-back would otherwise be present in the group to play against Nantes, Saturday at the Parc des Princes. And probably also on Wednesday, during the trip to Dortmund, crucial for the club’s future in the Champions League.

In fact, according to the Nanterre public prosecutor’s office, “a confrontation took place this morning between the accused and the victim” of 24 years old who had accused the Moroccan international of having raped her last March.

“An attempted racket” according to the player’s lawyer

On March 3, 2023, Achraf Hakimi was indicted for rape by an investigating judge and placed under judicial supervision. A few days earlier, a young woman had accused him of having raped her the previous Saturday at his home in Boulogne-Billancourt (Hauts-de-Seine). “My client maintains all of her statements and has become a civil party in this case,” assured AFP the victim’s lawyer, Me Rachel-Fleur Pardo.

In March, according to a police source, the young woman said she met Achraf Hakimi in January on the social network Instagram and went to his house on Saturday in a VTC ordered by the player. She claims that Achraf Hakimi kissed her and touched her without her consent, before raping her, added the police source. Managing to push him away, she says that a friend, contacted by SMS, came to pick her up.

The player’s lawyer Fanny Colin then assured that the accusations were “false”. His indictment offered him “finally the opportunity to defend himself”, his counsel argued in a press release, and in particular to “read the file”. The player “firmly denies” the accusations and was “the subject of an attempted racketeering” in this affair, she then asserted.
