A99 – closures at the Kirchheim and Aschheim junctions – district of Munich

Earthworks have begun for the eight-lane widening of the A99 motorway between Aschheim and Kirchheim. For this purpose, the topsoil will first be removed in the area of the future widening and the foundations for the gantries of the traffic control system will be erected. As the southern Bavarian branch of the Autobahn GmbH des Bundes reports, shoring has to be installed for the structures currently under construction, the Erdinger Straße motorway overpass and the motorway overpass at the Kirchheim junction (state road 2082). Therefore, drivers must expect traffic disruptions in the four nights from Thursday, May 12th to Monday, May 16th at the Kirchheim junction. The continuous traffic on the A 99 can continue to flow on the motorway during this work. At the Kirchheim junction, however, ramps are partially closed on some nights. Traffic will then be diverted locally via the roundabout at the entrance to Kirchheim or via the Aschheim industrial park. On the following weekend from May 20th to May 22nd, the shoring of the Erdinger Straße structure will be installed. The continuous traffic on the A 99 can continue to flow on the motorway during this work. However, all traffic will be guided on one side of the motorway during the night-time work. The number of lanes is thereby reduced. This time there will be partial ramp closures at the Kirchheim junction on individual nights. There, traffic is diverted via the eastern Aschheim bypass to the Aschheim junction. The diversions are signposted.

Autobahn GmbH has already announced another closure for the summer. On the first weekend in August, the eastern bypass will not be open to traffic as a drainage line is being built here.
