A Tuesday like any other where a retiree mows his lawn. Then, suddenly, the young 18-year-old neighbor arrives and kills him with an oyster knife, before attacking his wife in the same way. This is the horror scene that happened on Tuesday in Combres (Eure-et-Loir).
Arrested, the suspect was indicted for intentional homicide and imprisoned for these murders, the Chartres prosecutor’s office announced on Saturday. “During his second hearing, the young man in custody confirmed that he was the author of the double intentional homicide of his neighbors,” announced Chartres public prosecutor Frédéric Chevallier in a press release.
“He explained quite precisely how the criminal events unfolded by declaring that he had attacked the gentleman first and then the lady when she was leaving her house. He indicated that he wanted to kill to vent his anger,” added the magistrate.
“The multiple and significant blows carried with the knife but also the kicks, particularly to the faces, corresponded to the medico-legal findings made during the autopsies,” according to the same source.
It was a neighbor of the retired couple who warned the gendarmes on Wednesday of the presence of two inanimate bodies in the garden of their residence, the Chartres prosecutor’s office said on Friday.
