A prize fund launched for the family of the farmer who died in Ariège

If all the farmers are moved by the tragedy, they are also all united. This morning, cattle breeder Jérôme Bayle, one of the figures of the mobilization in recent weeks, announced on BFMTV the creation of a fund for Alexandra Sonac’s family.

The farmer lost her life Tuesday morning, hit by a car at a checkpoint in Ariège. One of his daughters, present at the scene of the accident, also died in the evening from her injuries, at only 12 years old.

Friend of the victim, Jérôme Bayle described her as a passionate farmer and said he was unable to “find the words” to express his pain. He also announced that convoys to take care of the victims’ farms should be set up, until Jean-Michel, Alexandra’s husband, also injured, was able to return to work.
