A drama unfolded in the corridors of the Reims hospital. A nurse and a medical secretary were stabbed early Monday afternoon and the vital prognosis of one of them is engaged, said the Reims prosecutor’s office, confirmation of information from the daily The union.
“An investigation into attempted murder has been opened and entrusted to the central police station in Reims, Reims prosecutor Patthieu Bourrette told AFP, adding that a person had been arrested.

According to information collected by The union, the individual arrived on the first floor of the establishment making incoherent remarks before taking out a kitchen knife. He then allegedly stabbed a nurse after entering a locker room, before attacking a secretary.
“I express my deep emotion after the violent attack, at the beginning of the afternoon, of a nurse and a medical secretary at the CHU of Reims”, wrote on Twitter the Minister of Health, François Braun. “To assure the teams of my support and that of my ministry, I will go there” Monday evening, he added.
