The scene only lasted a few moments but could have taken a dramatic turn. Late Saturday afternoon, a 63-year-old man with a past sex offender is suspected of having approached a 12-year-old girl in the 18th arrondissement of Paris and making advances to her, has learned 20 minutes police source. According to the first elements of the investigation, he allegedly offered her money in return for sexual favors.
The respondent fled when he saw the eldest brother of the girl approaching quickly. The latter then started in pursuit of him before catching him and immobilizing him until the police arrived. The man, already convicted of rape and sexual assault and registered with the sex offenders register, was taken into police custody.
