A man seriously injured by a TCL bus, an investigation is opened

Around 8 p.m. on Sunday, a pedestrian was violently hit by a TCL bus. The tragedy occurred in the 6th arrondissement of Lyon, on line C1. As the bus arrived near the “Interpol” stop, a man allegedly jumped over a thicket to enter the roadway before being hit by the bus, reports Progress. Surprised, the driver could not avoid the individual and dragged him for several meters.

The victim, who did not have his papers, would appear to be a homeless person. According to several witnesses, he staggered before appearing in front of the bus. Victim of multiple fractures, he was transported in absolute urgency to the Édouard Herriot hospital.

As for the bus driver, he passed the screening tests and the results turned out to be negative. Investigations are still underway to determine the identity of the victim and to learn more about the circumstances of the accident.
