An alcoholic man, suspected of having frightened passers-by with a royal python in the street, was arrested and taken into custody on Friday evening in Montpellier (Hérault), report the department’s police services. on their account (ex-Twitter).
This individual is accused of having brandished the reptile under the noses of Montpellier residents, in the Gambetta district. When the police, alerted, intervened, the man was allegedly aggressive and refused to be controlled. He was finally subdued and taken to the police station. He was under the influence of alcohol and had a knife.
The royal python, which was good, was captured by a police officer. It was immediately recovered by a Montpellier association, SOS Nature, specializing in the care of reptiles. We don’t know where this man got this snake.
