The facts occurred just before ten o’clock on Tuesday morning in Strasbourg. A man fell two meters into a pit on rue Charles-Friedel, a small street near the Parc des Deux Rives. He was seriously injured and was urgently transferred to hospital, a report said. Departmental fire and rescue service Bas-Rhin (SDIS 67).
His rescue and extraction from the pit mobilized more than 16 firefighters, including the specialized team of the Group for recognition and intervention in dangerous environments (GRIMP).
