A 17-year-old teenager dies after refusing to obey on a scooter

A 17-year-old teenager died this Saturday morning in hospital following a scooter accident, which took place Friday evening in Chelles (Seine-et-Marne) after the driver of the two-wheeler refused to stop. “arrest on the orders of the police,” said the Meaux prosecutor.

The driver of the scooter, also aged 17, was still hospitalized on Saturday evening, with his life threatening, following the accident which ended the chase which had started two kilometers before, in Neuilly-sur-Marne (Seine-Saint-Denis).

Two open investigations

Two investigations were opened by the Meaux public prosecutor’s office: one for refusal to comply, entrusted to the Chelles-Villeparisis police station, the other for homicide and involuntary injuries entrusted to the General Inspectorate of the National Police, said the prosecutor in a press release.
