3-month-old baby found lying between two cars

She was first placed in police custody, suspected of “abandonment of a minor under 15 years of age likely to compromise their health or safety”, before being hospitalized in a psychiatric department, given her mental health status.

The baby was also hospitalized, but his state of health does not cause concern, indicates the Béziers public prosecutor’s office, which however ordered “an urgent measure of protection with regard to this child”. The child was temporarily placed with the child welfare services of the Hérault Departmental Council. The Béziers public prosecutor’s office indicated to 20 minutes his intention to refer the matter to a children’s judge in the coming days.
