2.20 euros per liter of gasoline, the price of fuel breaks records on the island of Groix

A record which he would have done well. In Groix, the owner of the only gas station on the island located off Morbihan has seen the price of a liter of unleaded and diesel break records in recent days. Carried away by rising global demand and a supply that is struggling to meet it, the fuel market has continued to soar in recent weeks. This observation, all motorists have done when they went to the pump, seeing the price of gasoline exceed the bar of 1.70 euro, diesel flirting with this historically high amount. On the island of Groix, this rate was reached a long time ago. Monday, the liter of unleaded 95 was charged 2.20 euros, when diesel showed 2.08 euros.

Asked by France 3 Brittany, the station owner justifies these prices by the charges he has to pay to obtain supplies. He must embark tankers on a boat to refuel his tanks, unlike the neighboring Belle-Ile, which benefits from an oil tanker chartered by the Brittany region.

More and more bikes
