The recipe for country chic cuisine: balance

The chic country kitchen puts wood in the spotlight. If kitchen furniture is welcome, we are happy to mix it with antique or recovered pieces, even if it means daring to mix it up, by installing a cabinet or a chest of drawers in a corner of the room. We work of course the credenza by choosing a material evoking a country house. The essential? The tile-cement effect tiles, of course. In terms of equipment, we prefer pieces with a retro or even vintage design, such as the natural stone sink. The secret, however, is to properly measure the effect: we should therefore preferably take care to add a contemporary touch, which makes all the difference between “country chic” and “rustic”!

This open kitchen displays an impeccable country chic style. In addition to a very modern ecru color, it displays an appliance with an ultracontemporary minimalist design, which contrasts wonderfully with the professional piece of furniture which takes the place of an island. And if its facades are adorned with a very “country house” molding, the kitchen furniture displays clean lines, for a subtly balanced decor.

Country atmosphere, in this chic little country kitchen with tangy colors! We love the choice of wallpaper – a very trendy option in the kitchen. If the pattern is retro, the playful colors give an unusual style to the decor. If this effect tempts you, however, you will have to make sure to choose a strictly identical color for the kitchen furniture. A “painting” operation is therefore to be expected. It is also better to forget the classic decorative signs, and favor a wallpaper & paint editor: most of them offer colors that match the different wallpaper models they offer.
