The Met Gala must take place without Zendaya this year. The actress currently has her hands full with many film projects.
It is not without reason that Zendaya (25) is considered a genuine style icon. The singer and actress has been inspiring people with her extravagant looks for years, including at the annual Met Gala. However, the “Euphoria” star will miss this this year. “I’m sorry to disappoint my fans here, but I’ll work,” Zendaya told the US portal “Extra” in an interview.
She is currently in the process of making “a few films”. “I wish everyone the best. I’m going to play tennis,” the 25-year-old said, referring to her upcoming film Challengers, in which she plays a tennis coach. However, Zendaya further assures: “I will return at some point.”
Met Gala on May 2nd
The Met Gala, known as the fashion event of the year, had to be canceled in 2020 due to the corona pandemic. Last year it took place in September, in 2022 it was again traditionally scheduled for the first Monday in May. Means: On May 2nd, the Who’s-Who of Hollywood stars will once again compete on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art (Met) in New York.
