Actually, the equally respected and feared Anna Conti, embodied by Désirée Nosbusch, is the most sought-after criminal defense attorney in Hamburg. But then she is sued herself. A video showing the lawyer taking drugs and playing sex games at a private party is her undoing. Although Conti was acquitted on all counts, the trial has left its mark: night after night she has been plagued by nightmares and panic attacks in self-imposed exile, at her mother’s house outside of town.
