The 72-year-old is said to have been taken to a Berlin clinic by helicopter on April 30, 2024 After a first minor heart operation, a major one is now due.
As RTL reports, in addition to concerns about the TV star’s health, there is also a financial problem: Hoenig is said to not be insured. The cost of the planned operation is estimated at 90,000 euros. A sum that the Hoenig family will have to raise themselves if the actor actually does not have health insurance.
Management cancels Hoenig’s participation in the musical
In addition to his wife Annika Hoenig (39), fans and colleagues also hope for Hoenig’s quick recovery. The actor’s management announced to the broadcaster RTL: “Unfortunately, Mr. Hoenig is completely unavailable for the musical ‘A Little Peace’ as he is currently in the intensive care unit of a clinic and is waiting for an urgent, life-saving heart operation, which is expected to take place on March 3rd . to take place in May.”
Heinz Hoenig made his acting breakthrough by appearing in “Das Boot” in 1981. Since then he has appeared in 140 films, including “Der Schattenmann” and “Affäre Semmeling”. He is married and has four children of his own.
