Youtuber “Drachenlord” has to go to court again – Bavaria

The Youtuber “Drachenlord” has to answer in the spring again in court. The appeal hearing against the 32-year-old will begin on March 23 in the district court in Nuremberg, as a judicial spokesman said on Tuesday on request. The summons had been served on him. The Neustadt an der Aisch district court sentenced the video blogger to two years’ imprisonment without parole for dangerous bodily harm and other crimes. According to the public prosecutor’s office, he too had appealed against it.

The video blogger from Middle Franconia has been arguing with his opponents for years. These so-called haters not only abuse him on the Internet, but also appear regularly in front of his house in the village of Altschauerberg. The police report their own statements several times a day because of disturbance of the peace, damage to property, trespassing and other crimes. In several cases, the “dragon lord” was violent after mutual abuse: In court he himself admitted to attacking a man in front of his house with a flashlight and injuring his forehead. He took another man in a headlock and hit him. He also insulted police officers.

He did some of these acts while on probation. In September 2019, the district court had already sentenced him to a suspended sentence of seven months for a pepper spray attack. That is why the public prosecutor’s office had demanded a higher prison sentence for him than the judge finally imposed. “This judgment has not been easy,” said this in the grounds of the judgment. The Youtuber is both perpetrator and victim at the same time. “This practice is a sad example of the consequences of hatred and bullying on the Internet.” There are people who delight in making him mentally finished and provoking, criticized the judge. But he also keeps putting himself in the line of fire.

In the process the “Dragon Lord” announced that he had meanwhile sold his house and would move away from Altschauerberg. In a video on the YouTube platform, he said on Saturday that the sale was now final and that it had to move out by January 5th at the latest. There is no confirmation from the municipality of Emskirchen, to which Altschauerberg belongs. No information is given on purchase and property matters, they said. With a view to the possible move, the justice spokesman emphasized: If the Youtuber does not appear at the hearing in March, the appeal will automatically be withdrawn and he will have to go to custody.
