Young people threaten bus drivers with knives – Bavaria

After arguments about the obligation to wear masks on the bus, two 16-year-olds threatened a Würzburg bus driver with a knife and an airsoft gun. The duo got into an argument with the driver on Thursday morning after being asked to wear a mask and initially got off the bus, a police spokesman said.

Later, they happened to get on the same bus at a different stop. When the 16-year-old forgot to press the stop button and the bus drove on, the argument broke out again. The young people, whose age the police had initially given as 15, then threatened the driver. When passengers called the police, the two fled.

Investigators arrested the two youths about an hour later, with one of the two resisting. Since the influence of alcohol could not be ruled out, blood was taken from the young people. They have been handed over to their legal guardians. The two are now being investigated for threats and resistance to the police.

Between the two bus rides, the duo with the dummy pistol is said to have pointed to the saleswoman at a gas station and a supermarket employee. The latter had previously banned them from entering the home after they had opened and eaten groceries there.
