You have lost a loved one, how did you experience your return to work after this bereavement? Tell us !

One out of two employees has been confronted with the loss of a loved one and one out of three managers has had a grieving employee in his team, according to a survey by the Research Center for the Study and Observation of Living Conditions (Crédoc ). This Thursday, the guide “Mourning at work: how to support it” designed by the Empreintes association and intended for business leaders and HRDs will be presented to the Ministry of Health. Because following a bereavement, 7 out of 10 employees believe that the support of their management has been “inappropriate, useless or non-existent”. Many of them find it difficult to return to work and have experienced periods of sick leave. And 11% of employees who have experienced this tragedy end up leaving their jobs.

You lost a loved one, how many days later did you return to work? Has your employer taken specific measures to help you return to work? Has your workload been lightened? How did your colleagues react? Did you have any difficulty doing your job? Were you on sick leave afterwards? Did you want to change jobs afterwards? Your testimony could be used to write an article. Thank you for your contribution !
