Xiaomi is launching a number of new wearables alongside its new Xiaomi 14 series, including the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Prothe Xiaomi Watch S3 and the Xiaomi Watch 2. All devices offer an improved user experience for different facets of sports, health and well-being.
Fitness meets fashion: Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro
With improved personalization options, professional sports tracking, comprehensive health monitoring and other intelligent functions, the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro combines an exceptional user experience with style.
The Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro features a new large, rectangular 1.74-inch AMOLED display with an improved refresh rate of 60Hz and a resolution of 336 x 480 pixels. The particularly thin and light smart band measures just 9.99 mm thick and weighs just 22.5 g.1 Its housing has an elegant metal frame and is made of Corning(R) Gorilla (R) Glass Victus(R) Front glass protected.
The wearable is equipped with a light sensor that automatically adjusts the brightness to the ambient light and ensures that the display remains easy to read in different lighting conditions.
Quick-release fasteners on both sides of the band ensure comfortable wearing properties and the high fashion factor of the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro. The quick-release fasteners allow for easy replacement of the bracelets. The Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro is available in black or silver and with a wide range of straps in different materials and colors. The Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro offers professional-level sports tracking with an extensive selection of over 150 sports modes. It is tailored to various training options and depends entirely on individual preferences. Running enthusiasts can use the smart running feature to set their desired running speed before running and receive pace reminders to stay on track. The device also offers 10 running courses on your wrist, providing scientific and intuitive running guidance during your workout. The integrated 3D exercise animation provides clear visual instructions for warming up and stretching before exercise to optimally prepare for the upcoming training.4
Health monitoring functions complement the smart band’s offering. With the new 4-channel heart rate monitoring module, advanced technology uses multiple sensors to control heart rate throughout the day and record health data in real time.5
The Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro has a 289mAh battery that offers 23 percent longer runtime compared to the previous model. With normal use, it can last up to 14 days, beating the previous generation by another two days. This makes longer use possible without frequent charging.6 The Smart Band 8 Pro also has integrated GNSS tracking, which allows the user to determine their location even without a smartphone. In addition, the 5ATM certified Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro is equipped with a variety of useful tools, such as the voice assistant Alexa and the “Find Mobile Phone” feature.
The watch face for every style: Xiaomi Watch S3
The Xiaomi Watch S3 is a multifunctional smartwatch with a classic watch design that meets both fashion and practical needs.
Xiaomi Watch S3 features a large 1.43-inch round AMOLED display and a lightweight aluminum alloy frame reminiscent of classic watch design. With interchangeable bezels and bracelets, the smartwatch can be tailored to your own personal style. By rotating the bezel, users can display a unique watch face on the home screen.7 In addition to the over 180 watch faces available free of charge, portrait photos with informational data can also be automatically integrated. This allows you to create a unique personal watch face.8
The Xiaomi Watch S3 offers outstanding performance and an improved user experience. This is ensured by the powerful new Xiaomi HyperOS operating system, which enables faster connections and better synchronization of information. The smartwatch ensures an ultra-long battery life of up to 15 days. It charges quickly and offers up to two days of use with just five minutes of charging time.9 The Xiaomi Watch S3 is the first watch from Xiaomi that allows users to perform personalized functions with just one hand. For example, different movements of the wrist can be used to reject smartphone calls, check the weather or take photos.10
For sports tracking, the Xiaomi Watch S3 offers over 150 sports modes to choose from. This also includes new winter sports modes, which are available for the first time on the global version of the Xiaomi Watch S3. Ski mode offers improved antenna reception performance and optimized positioning accuracy via the L1+L5 dual-band GNSS, which enables precise positioning. The Watch also offers ten different running courses that help runners of various levels optimize their performance, whether it’s increasing endurance or burning fat.
The smartwatch has advanced health monitoring functions on board and is equipped with a 12-channel heart rate monitoring module that measures heart rate more accurately than previous generations of devices.5 The Xiaomi Watch S3 also has the “Sleep Animal” function: after the watch is seven When worn for days in a row, it generates a “Sleep Animal” that best represents the user’s sleep state based on the 7-day sleep pattern.
Smarter every time you wear it: Xiaomi Watch 2
As part of Xiaomi’s latest AIoT portfolio, Xiaomi Watch 2 offers an exceptional user experience with comprehensive functionality and elegant design. It is equipped with Google Wear OS, has five of the most frequently used apps pre-installed and supports more than 200 third-party apps. This means that a wide range of applications is available to users. The smartwatch’s Snapdragon® W5+Gen 1 wearable platform ensures fast and efficient performance. The dual-core architecture ensures high performance and low power consumption through autonomous switching. The battery life is correspondingly long-lasting: It is up to 65 hours of typical use with the 495mAh battery and the large 32G memory.6
The Xiaomi Watch 2 features a slim and sophisticated design with a 1.43 inch AMOLED display and an aluminum alloy middle frame. With a weight of approx. 37 g, the smartwatch is comfortable to wear even during sporting activities or while sleeping. The Xiaomi Watch 2 is available with either a black or silver strap and offers various out-of-box material options to complement its look.
Xiaomi is introducing a remote control function for the smartphone camera for the first time in its Watch 2. The practical function offers a preview of the smartphone camera directly on the wrist in order to take photos and videos11 – and is particularly interesting for photography enthusiasts.
The Xiaomi Watch 2 supports over 160 sports modes, including new winter sports modes. The smartwatch can record the distance and average speed of each glide and even record users’ ski tracks. The dual-band L1+L5 GNSS supports athletes in locating themselves precisely in the snow or in other difficult environments. After partnering with Strava, Xiaomi has extended its collaboration with Suunto to the Xiaomi Watch 2. This makes it possible to synchronize sports and sleep data between Mi Fitness and these apps and ensure uninterrupted data recording when using the Xiaomi Watch 2.
Xiaomi Watch 2 offers improved and high-precision monitoring of health parameters with its upgraded 12-channel heart rate monitoring module.5 An improved sleep monitoring algorithm brings together blood oxygen and breathing data for comprehensive analysis and more accurate health-related data. In addition, the Mi Fitness app also offers the exciting “Sleep Animal” feature. After the watch is worn for seven days in a row, it creates a “sleep animal” that best represents the user’s sleep state based on the 7-day sleep pattern.
