Bruno Le Maire hits a cyclist with his personal vehicle

The cyclist apparently ran a red light when he was hit by the Economy Minister’s car. The latter was not injured. The cyclist, who reportedly suffered head trauma, was taken to hospital.

Around 7:30 p.m. this Friday, May 3 in the evening, the Minister of the Economy, Bruno Le Maire, was involved in a traffic accident with a cyclist in the 6th arrondissement of Paris, we learned Le Figaro from corroborating sources, confirming information from the online media Livre Noir. The cyclist reportedly ran a red light when he was hit by the minister, who was driving his personal vehicle.

The cyclist was transported to Cochin hospital, located in 14e district, in relative emergency, said a police source. He was reportedly hit in the eyebrow and could suffer from possible head trauma. According to the same source, the minister was subjected to an alcohol impregnation screening test (DIA), which turned out to be negative. “Like any citizen in such a case, he answered the police’s questions and took an alcohol test on site. He also passed a drug test. And both tests were negative”confirmed a source to AFP. “He is in no way responsible”those around him said.
