No denial from Xbox boss about PS5 leaks
What makes Phil Spencer’s statement extremely exciting are two things: First and foremost, the rumors surrounding the numerous PS5 leaks were not directly denied. Rather, a business event is intended to show the future of Microsoft’s gaming division.
Will Microsoft be forced to rethink?
As you can read in the article linked above, there are currently quite dark statements about Xbox making the rounds, which allegedly come from the closest Microsoft circles.
What is being said? Essentially, sales of Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S are said to have not met internal expectations. The Christmas business with its associated price reductions did not change this. In addition, the Game Pass model is “not sustainable” and the current market would not be sufficient to cover the high cost of the subscription service.
As a result of this and in order to boost software sales, it is rumored that Xbox exclusive games will also have to be offered on other platforms in the future, especially the PS5.
