On Monday, national coach Andre Henning’s team, second in group B in the title fights in India, defeated France in a “crossover” game easily and confidently 5-1 (4-0) and thus made it into the round of the last eight teams. There the DHB selection meets England on Wednesday (2.30 p.m. / DAZN).
Marco Miltkau (14th minute), Niklas Wellen (18th), Mats Grambusch (23rd), Moritz Trompertz (24th) and Gonzalo Peillat (59th) scored the goals for the two-time world champion against the third in Group A. The French only managed to score the first goal (57th) through Francois Goyet. The German team remained undefeated in the fourth game of the tournament.
