This week we look into the star 50 years ago from April 25, 1974, with the title topic “Nurse 1974: Serve and still earn“:“The profession of nursing has become attractive for young girls: well paid, 40-hour weeks starting in the fall, paid overtime, comfortable dormitories in many places. However, there is a shortage of 40,000 nurses in the hospitals. Why is that?” Also in the magazine from back then: a piece of German crime history and a savings trick used by German housewives.
