In Ingolstadt, an interim building appears to have been found for the city theater, which is in extreme need of renovation. A wooden theater comes from St. Gallen, ready to play – and cost-effective at six million euros, says the mayor.
Knut Weber puts it positively: “It’s exciting to play in this house.” Or a little more dramatic, after all he comes from the theater: a constant “fear”. Just a short list of what they have to deal with every day in the Ingolstadt City Theater, Weber is the director there: The heating can only be turned on or off, it is either too hot or too cold. The ventilation doesn’t work. In the summer, spectators complained because there was sweat on their foreheads. In the middle of the performance the technology fails and oh yes, then there are the cable fires.
