Iran: Famous actress released on bail

As people around the world take to the streets in solidarity with the protests in Iran, a famous actress is arrested in Tehran.
The famous Iranian actress Hanieh Tavassoli is arrested and then released Bail was released again. This was reported by the newspaper “Shargh” on Telegram.
The newspaper “Etemad” had previously reported that the 44-year-old was arrested on Saturday evening. Meanwhile, Tavassoli’s Instagram presence with her two million followers could not be reached. The allegations against the actress were initially unclear.
As a result of the wave of protests led by women in autumn 2022, several actresses who had shown solidarity with the movement found themselves in the crosshairs of the judiciary.
The protests were triggered by the death of the young Iranian Kurdish woman Jina Mahsa Amini, which celebrated its first anniversary on Saturday. On the anniversary, Iranian forces took strict security measures to prevent new protests. There were also arrests.
