For once, the most interesting thing can’t be seen in the court, but in front of it: a slim man in a dark suit, the FFP-2 mask on his face, comes down the street, flanked by four lawyers. His goal: the entrance to the underground courtroom in Stadelheim, it is the hundredth day of proceedings in the Wirecard trial – and a first. Oliver Bellenhaus has never taken this route before. He was in custody behind the prison wall for more than three and a half years and in the dock for more than a year.
