For Patchday in March 2024, Microsoft released, among other things, the “2024-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x86-based Systems (KB5035845)” released for Windows 10. This update has a lot to offer because it actually adds a new function to the veteran Windows 10: You can now share files (text documents, PDFs, images, videos, etc.) from the Windows 10 File Explorer directly via Whatsapp, like Windows Latest reported. Sharing takes place via the “Nearby sharing“Function of Windows 10 and via Bluetooth or WLAN.

You simply right-click on the desired file and then select “Share” and then “Whatsapp” from the list that Windows 10 then displays. Then select the contact to whom the file should be sent via Whatsapp. But Whatsapp support isn’t everything, sharing via Gmail, Facebook and LinkedIn is now possible directly and without detours in Windows 10. X alias Twitter, however, does not yet support Windows 10. However, Microsoft is expected to bring sharing via X/Twitter with one of the next updates, as US media reports.
In addition to files, you should also be able to share links via Whatsapp, Gmail, Facebook and Linkedin. Microsoft has thus integrated an innovation into Windows 10 that was already announced at the beginning of March: Windows 10 now gets these new functions.
