William Turner in Munich: Longer opening hours for the final – Munich

The William Turner show in the Lenbachhaus is one of the big exhibition hits of the season: in the first week last October, 25,000 visitors marveled at the London painter’s works in the art building, and so far the exhibition has had a quarter of a million guests, all accompanying events and Tours were quickly booked up.

There is still time to marvel at “Turner. Three Horizons” until March 10th – since the crowds for the finale are likely to increase again, the Lenbachhaus will be open during the entire last week of the exhibition from March 4th on Tuesdays to Sundays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., otherwise is closed at 6 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. On Sunday, February 25th, 11 a.m., runs in Theatiner cinema again the film “Mr. Turner – Masters of Light” by Mike Leigh. Karin Althaus, the curator of the exhibition, gives an introduction.
